10 lutego 2020 roku w siedzibie KG RP w Sankt Petersburgu odbyła się uroczystość z okazji 80. rocznicy pierwszej deportacji Polaków w głąb ZSRR. Czytane były wspomnienia zesłanych Polaków, recytowana poezja patriotyczna i śpiewane patriotyczne pieśni. Uroczystość prowadziła prezes Kongresu Polaków w Sankt Petersburgu Lilia Szyszko.
